When figure skaters Runa Maeda and Taryn Jurgensen stepped onto the ice to perform, nobody was expecting them to do something this powerful!

The two close friends walked out onto the ice wearing matching pink slip dresses, white ice skates and pink ribbons in their hair. As the classic Simon and Garfunkel song “Bridge Over Troubled Water” started to play, the two girls began their hauntingly smooth performance.

The two skaters proceeded to dance perfectly in sync on the ice, which shows that they are far ahead of their years in terms of skill. Their routine was perfectly choreographed to match the song, and it completely blew the crowd away.

The flowing lyrics of the song state, “When you’re weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes, I’ll dry them all. I’m on your side, oh, when times get rough and friends just can’t be found, like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down.”

Be sure to watch closely at the 1:00 mark when the skaters execute a perfect spin. Just after the 2:00 mark, the smaller girl completes a leg extension then her partner lifts her up and spins her around. Perhaps the best spin of the routine happens after the 2:20 mark, when the smaller girl executes a spin as she stretches her leg behind her with her heel touching the back of her head. How incredible is that?!

At the end of the routine, the crowd erupts into applause, giving the girls the accolades they deserve. Everything about this routine was pure perfection, from the costumes to the choreography to the music to the pure skill of the skaters!
