When most people think of cherry blossoms, they typically think of Japan, but what many don’t know is that they are even more magical in China!

This month, China has been flooded with cherry blossoms that will likely stay vibrant until April. Tourists from all over the world are heading to China to see the blooms at places like the Kunming Zoo in Yunnan Province, which hosts the 19th Cherry Blossom Festival from March 7th until April 7th. This festival has over 5,000 flowering cherry and crab-apple trees.

Meanwhile, the 2018 Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival started last week and goes through April 15 in Gucun Park, and it includes more than 12,000 cherry blossom trees of 82 varieties.
