Shish, a Muslim-owned restaurant in London, offered a free three course meal for the elderly and the homeless that would otherwise be eating alone on Christmas day. “No one eats alone on Christmas Day […] We are here to sit with you.”
The act of generosity by the restaurant has gone viral across the internet. In today’s day and age there is such an abundance of divisiveness and acts of genuine charity can feel far apart. As such, the kind act has been noticed. With the negative stigmas sometimes surrounding Muslims stories like this remind us that all people have the same underlying will to do good.

Via BuzzFeed: Hasan Masud, who works at Shish Restaurant, told BuzzFeed News: “We’re just helping people.” He said the team at Shish also wanted to open their doors to the elderly because “lots of people stay home alone for Christmas… They don’t need to. They can come here and have some fun.”
