A touching series of photos are going viral this week showing an incident that has touched the hearts of millions of people all over the world.
Lynette Scribner recently took to Facebook about an experience she had on an Alaskan Airlines flight, and she was stunned when it went viral!
“I can’t say enough about this beautiful young woman named Clara who didn’t think twice about helping her fellow passenger,” Lynette wrote. “It was a beautiful reminder, in this time of too much awfulness, that there are still good, good people who are willing to look out for each other.”
When she got on her flight, Lynette saw a man named Tim who was traveling alone. The unusual thing about Tim’s situation is that he is blind and deaf, so when flight attendants tried to communicate with him, they had a hard time getting through to him.
“The flight attendants sincerely wanted to assist him, but had no way to communicate,” Lynette recalled. “I watched as they didn’t flinch when he reached out to touch their faces and arms. They took his hand and tried so hard to communicate with him, to no avail. He had some verbal ability, but clearly could not understand them.”
The flight attendant made an announcement onboard asking if anyone knew sign language, and that’s when 15 year-old Clara stepped in.

Clara learned ASL (American Sign Language) after she was diagnosed with dyslexia, and after introducing herself to Tim, Clara sat next to him for the rest of the flight. They communicated one letter at a time, signing each one into Tim’s hand.
“It was fascinating to watch as she signed one letter at a time into his hand. He was able to ‘read’ her signing and they carried on an animated conversation,” Lynette said.

Clara was patient with Tim, and the two became fast friends! Fate had a huge role to play in this, as Clara and her family had not originally been on this flight. Their original flight had been cancelled, so they got on Tim’s at the last minute.
“After the flight, Clara told me that she thought it was meant to be that our original flight was canceled and we were placed on this flight so that she could be there to help this man,” said Clara’s mother, Jane Daly.

It’s nice to see someone so young step up to do something so kind for a man in need! Find out more about this amazing story in the video below, and SHARE this so your friends and family can see it as well!
