Sarah Ferguson has not been an official member of the British royal family since she divorced Prince Andrew back in 1992. Despite this, they invited her to attend Ascot with them on Friday, and photos show she had a blast!

Though Sarah was not included in the traditional carriage procession to mark the beginning of proceedings, she was allowed to watch the race from the prestigious royal box with Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the family.

At one point, Sarah was even spotted sharing a joke with the Queen as they stood with her daughter, Princess Beatrice, and Lady Carolyn Warren.

Sarah’s invitation to attend Ascot with her ex-husband’s family indicates that she is being welcomed back into the fold of the British royal family. This comes as a bit of a surprise given the fact that she once caught in a tabloid newspaper controversy accepting money for access to her former husband. However, since their divorce, Andrew and Sarah have remained close, and some believe that they may one day remarry.

At one point, Sarah was seen adjusting Andrew’s lapel in an intimate moment as their daughter Beatrice looked on.

Sarah looked every bit the royal in her navy fitted Roland Mouret dress that she accessorized with a hat by Philip Treacy and shoes by Rene Mancini.

It’s so nice to see Sarah getting along so well with the British royal family again! I don’t know about you, but I would love to see Sarah walk down the aisle with Prince Andrew for a second time!
