Drew Harrisberg went to an animal shelter recently to buy a dog he had his eye on. When he got there, he was told that this dog had already been adopted by someone else, so he started looking at other canines in the facility.

That’s when one very special dog caught his attention.

Drew was walking around the shelter when he heard what he describes as a pig-seal squeal. Confused as to what could be making that noise, Drew turned around and saw it had come from a Pit Bull mix named Dennis, who for some reason was super excited to see Drew.

Drew was totally hooked by Dennis, and he knew he had to have this squealing talking dog! He was saddened when he learned that Dennis was slated to be adopted by someone else, so Drew asked shelter workers if he could just foster him for two weeks.

Shelter workers warned Drew that he would get attached to Dennis, but he was adamant that he wanted to foster him. Over the next few weeks, Drew did indeed fall in love with Dennis so much so that he did not want to return him to his new owner when it came time to do so.

Desperate, Drew went to Dennis’s new owners and begged them to allow him to keep the dog he had grown to love. You’ll have to watch the video below to see what they said in response!
