Milissa Davis’ 12-year-old son Camden has severe autism, and he struggles to be able to speak, read, and write.

Though her son is facing many challenges, Milissa is overjoyed that he can still attend Greater Baton Rouge Hope Academy, a school known for being very accommodating to students with learning disabilities. The school is famous for helping students with Asperger syndrome, those on the autism spectrum, Down syndrome, dyslexia, cognitive disabilities, and ADHD.

Milissa was sure the school was a Godsend until she made a disturbing discovery about some teachers there.

Milissa recently noticed that Camden was acting more aggressive than usual and that he had started to wet the bed, which was not typical of him. Milissa went to school officials to talk about the changes in Camden, but they all brushed her off. Not knowing what else to do, the distraught mother decided to hide an audio recorder in Camden’s backpack so that she could see what was happening.

When Milissa heard the recording, she was stunned and appalled by what was on it. Here are some of the disturbing quotes she heard:

“Camden, why don’t you have anything written down? That’s why you can’t sit with everyone. Tell your momma that.”

“You’re just writing the word. What is hard about it?”

“Let’s see what they do with him in [expletive] public school. He was going to go to Live Oak Middle. Uh ah, he wouldn’t make it for a minute.”

Milissa was left heartbroken by the horrifying recording.

“I just wanted to cry, scream and do everything I could because it was so bad,” she said. “To think that I had sent my son there every day, and what had happened before, that I didn’t know about.”

Thankfully, the school acted quickly and fired both teachers who were involved as soon as Milissa gave them the recording.
