Kevin Huntington may look like your average construction worker, but he’s actually a major hero!

Kevin was working his normal shift doing roadwork on the side of I-95 in northern Virginia when he noticed a car suddenly speeding towards him. Things took a strange turn when a terrified teenage girl jumped from the vehicle and ran screaming up to Kevin and his coworkers.

“I noticed a female jump out of the car, she came running up to us and you could tell she was pretty distraught and terrified,” Kevin said.

The distraught girl told Kevin that the man was going to kill her, so he immediately called 911 and told her to stay by his side. As he waited for police to arrive, Kevin assured the girl that nothing bad was going to happen to her as long as he was there, and that she was finally safe.

“I asked the female if she was okay and she said no, there was a man trying to kill her, I told her just stay behind me and I wouldn’t let anything happen to her,” he said.

It turns out that police had already been alerted about a possible abduction and they were trying to track the suspect’s car when the vehicle veered towards Kevin’s work site. The man was arrested by police for kidnapping and assaulting his 18 year-old victim.

Kevin’s story has since gone viral, and he’s being hailed as a hero by people all over the country. He now has a simple message for all those who have been following his story.

“Pick up the phone and help somebody. You never know whose life you may save,” Kevin said.

If we all were to take action and help each other the way Kevin helped this woman, the world would be a better place!
