U.S. Army Spc. Chris Harris was deployed overseas when his wife Britt announced over Facetime that she was pregnant with their first child. The 25-year-old North Carolina soldier was happier than his wife had ever seen him before.

Sadly, just one week later, he was killed by a suicide bomber. Britt decided that since the men in her husband’s battalion were like family to him, she would keep them involved in her pregnancy. She even sent the 2nd Battalion, 504th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, and 82 Airborne Division a cannon full of confetti to reveal the baby’s gender to them.

Britt wanted these soldiers to be a big part of their baby’s life and share in all her milestones. So when Britt gave birth on March 17, 2018, it was only fitting that the soldiers that meant so much to her husband, and had started to mean so much to her, be part of the newborn photo shoot.

Named after her father, Christian Michelle Harris, is surrounded by the soldiers who stood by her daddy’s side through thick and thin. Check out the amazing video below and you will know without a doubt that this little girl is never going to be alone.
