Pit bulls often get a bad reputation these days, but a new story is going viral that shows how amazing they really can be.

When the Daniels family decided to adopt a pit bull they named Ember, they didn’t think much of it. They already owned one pit bull, so they had no fear of the breed. They had no idea that Ember was about to change their family forever.

Ember quickly grew close to the Daniels’ 10 year-old son Tre. All was going well until one day, mother Tracy Daniels was woken up by Ember making a low grumbling sound. Groggy from sleep, Tracy had no idea what was going on, but she could tell that Ember had become very tense.

Tracy tried to go back to sleep, but Ember refused to leave her side and stop making that noise. Finally, she got up and followed Ember, who led her into the bathroom. As soon as she walked in, Tracy’s heart dropped at what she saw.

Hanging on the side of the tub was her son Tre. She immediately pulled him out of the tub and ran to call 911. It turns out that Tre had suffered a seizure, and if it wasn’t for Ember, his family never would have known. The Daniels family could not be more grateful to Ember for saving their son’s life!

The family adopted Ember from an organization called Adore-A-Bull, which hopes that positive stories like this one will lessen the negative stigma surrounding pit bulls.
