When a dog-loving Good Samaritan came upon a heavily pregnant stray canine who was clearly in distress, he decided to go above and beyond to help her. Since he could not bring the dog home, he decided to do the next best thing and build her a make-shift shelter where she could safely give birth.

He used some basic makeshift materials to make the shelter and brought blankets in to keep the puppies warm. He made the shelter against a building so it would have a little bit more protection.

Days went by, but the man could not stop thinking about the stray dog and wondering if she had given birth safely. He returned to the shelter to check on her, only to find something very unexpected inside it!

At first, he saw the mother and her puppies, all of whom seemed healthy, but that’s not all he saw! While he was gone, a stray cat had moved into the shelter as well with her four newborn kittens!

It’s safe to say the man never saw that one coming!

There was no fighting in the shelter, as both new moms were cuddled up with their little ones. The dog had clearly seen a fellow pregnant mother in need and put any inner-species differences aside to welcome her into their home.

“How cool. People gonna think I’m lying. It’s incredible to see. But look… It’s like a maternity ward in here,” the man said.
