If you think big cats are some of the most amazing creatures on earth, then you’ll definitely want to meet Yeti, Odlin, Sampson, and Apollo. Not only are they incredibly adorable, but they’re four of the most rare big cats in the world.

These adorable brother are ligers, or lion-tiger hybrids. There are only about 1,000 of them in the world making them extremely rare, but these babies are even more rare than other ligers. Most ligers live in captivity, just like these babies, but what makes them rare is that they are thought to be the first white ligers ever born.

The parents of the adorable cats are Ivory, a white lion, and Saraswati, a white tiger. White lions and white tigers are almost as rare as ligers with only 1,200 white tigers and 300 white lions in the world.

These rare creatures all call the T.I.G.E.R Sanctuary in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina home. The sanctuary has bred ligers before, with one of their ligers being the biggest cat in the world according to the “Guinness Book of World Records.” Hercules weighs in at a whopping 922 pounds, but is still a sweetheart who loves playing with is new nephews and his handlers.

While the babies may be tiny now, they are gaining about a pound of weight each day and will soon be as big as their uncle. Dr. Antle, the founder of the T.I.G.E.R. Sanctuary says she is amazed at their growth. If she misses a day seeing them, it is as if they double in size, he says.

The liger cubs love swimming like their tiger mother, but are sociable like their lion father. They each have their own unique traits as well. Apollo is the smallest of the four, but behaves the most like a house cat. He loves to curl up with his handlers while they pet him.

Yeti is the most rambunctious of the group and always tries to be the center of attention. He’s also the biggest and Dr. Antle thinks he might end up even bigger than Hercules. By the time they are two-years-old, Dr. Antle says the cats will likely be at least 10 feet tall and weigh around 750 pounds.
