Ten years ago, a neighbor in the Russian city of Yaroslavl heard the sound of a baby crying in a nearby house. He didn’t think much of it, however, and he proceeded to go about his normal day-to-day business.

In the coming days, the man started to notice the baby continued to cry unconsolably even though he could see no evidence of signs of life in the house. It was then that the neighbor decided to call the police. When officers responded, they found that the people who lived in the house had completely cleared out of it, leaving only the little baby behind.

The one year-old baby girl was found all alone on the cold floor, and she had been there abandoned for many days by the time she was discovered. Police rushed the girl, whose name they learned was Liza Verbitskaya, to the local doctor. She spent days in the hospital recovering, and doctors were able to nurse her back to good health.

It was in the hospital that Liza met Inna Nika, who was at the hospital day and night caring for her own sick son. She fell in love with Liza as soon as she saw her, and she brought her food and toys each day.

One day, Inna went to Liza’s hospital room only to discover that the child was gone. Hospital officials told her that Liza had been sent to an orphanage. Inna was devastated by this and went right to the orphanage, where she decided to adopt the little girl.

Liza was understandably traumatized by her past, but Inna was determined to show her the love she never had before. The little girl had trouble learning to walk, so Inna enrolled her in a dance class to help her with her movement.

It was this dance class that helped Liza come out of her shell, and in the ten years since then, she has grown into a totally normal young girl!

Now in her early teens, Liza has become a fashion model and won numerous beauty pageants and talent shows. In fact, Liza became so well known in Russia that her biological mother who had abandoned her all those years ago tried to make contact with her, but the young girl wasn’t having any of it.

Liza refused to make contact with the biological mother who left her to die and has instead decided to remain with Inna, the woman whose love saved her life!
