Raising a child isn’t an easy task, so you can imagine how one young woman felt when she found out she was going to be a single mother to not one baby or even two babies, but three! Hayley Arsenault, 25, didn’t know what she was going to do.

Caring for triplets means there is a never ending rotation of diaper changes, feedings, baths, and cleanup time. If Hayley got lucky, she managed to get in an occasional cat nap. Her parents took time off work in the beginning to help her, but eventually they had to go back to work.

Without the extra sets of hands, Hayley panicked and took to Facebook with a desperate plea for help. Little did she know that three amazing women would come to her rescue. The women, mothers and grandmothers themselves, saw her plea and offered more than friendly advice.

They gave the desperate new mom three extra sets of hands, three times the amount of grandma cuddles, and a priceless amount of peace of mind. Hayley’s little town of Tignish on Prince Edward Island in Canada has only 800 people, but three of them are some of the most amazing people Hayley has ever met.

Jenny MacDougall, Alice Mokler, and Anita Arsenault are sisters who know just how hard it is to raise a baby. In the case of Hayley’s little ones, it literally is taking a village, but Jenny says it is a gift for her to get to go cuddle with the babies and give Hayley a much needed break.

The three grandmas come in to cuddle with Hogan, Rylan, and Finn. They also love getting to spend quality time with each other and compare baby stories. They say they love every minute of it. Hayley says it is hard work, but everyone has been great helping her and she can’t believe how lucky she and her boys are.

Wendy and Billy Arsenault, the boys’ biological grandparents, still take shifts to help out. Billy says the babies go through about 250 diapers a week and he doesn’t know how the family would have done it without the help of the amazing ladies.

“To have strangers come in and actually make a connection with your babies is pretty amazing,” he says. “They become people that you know and trust and that’s the big thing.”

These three amazing women prove that there truly are angels among us. They have brought more magic into the lives of Hayley and the boys that one could have ever imagined.
