As parents, it is our responsibility to keep our children safe. However, one Oklahoma father just had to go above and beyond to ensure the safety of his 15 year-old daughter after she was targeted by an online predator.

When this father learned that a predator was stalking his daughter online, he knew he had to do something. Instead of allowing his daughter to be stalked, the father launched an elaborate plot to catch the man who was targeting her. The man had been messaging her on social media, sending her unwanted and inappropriate photos, indicating that his intentions with her were anything but pure.

The father learned of his daughter’s conversations with this predator through an app he was using called FamilyTime, which allowed him to monitor her cell phone. When the father went to the police, he was told that the stalker had to be caught in the act of stalking. Since the police could not do anything about the situation, the father took matters into his own hands.

Armed with a night vision camera, the father set his trap to catch the criminal.

It didn’t take long for the camera to catch the predator, later identified as Jeremy Dewayne Gibson, in the act. There was a woman acting as bait in the tent who was not the father’s teenage daughter. Three men, including the father, were also laying in wait just waiting to pounce.

Justice was served as the night vision camera rolled! Del City Police Maj. Jody Suit said that the operation was so well done it almost seemed professional.
