Alice Modine, of Boca Raton, Florida, is 94-years-old, but says she isn’t afraid to drive anywhere that she needs to go. However, when the rain began pouring down, she could barely see and decided that she should pull her car over to wait out the storm.

Unfortunately, where Alice decided to park her car wasn’t the parking lot that she thought it was. As she sat waiting, she realized that her car was filling up with water. Unknowingly, the “parking lot” was instead a lake and her car was filling with water fast.

Alice says she tried to move the car forward and backward but nothing worked. She tried to roll down the windows or open the door to escape, but nothing would open. She says she knows that everyone has a time to die, and she was certain that it was her time.

As she began to make peace with the idea, her car door came flying open and a young man that she says was in his 30’s pulled her to safety on the grass. He then asked if she had anything in the car that she wanted out and she said she’d like to have her purse and some papers.

The man plunged back into the vehicle to fetch her necessities. Alice took to the news in hopes of finding the man that she says is responsible for saving her life. Without him, she probably wouldn’t be here. Watch her amazing story in the video below and share it with your friends.
