Prom season is finally upon us, which means millions of teenage girls all over the country are scrambling to try and find the perfect dress.

Some of the best dresses can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, and many young girls can’t afford these hefty prices. Not being able to see the point in spending so much money on a dress that is only going to be worn once, some girls have shifted to more creative strategies when picking a gown.

Photos of a young woman named Nazmayde are going viral this week after she turned a $50 dress into a gown that looked like it was worth hundreds of dollars! The photos went viral after Nazmayde’s boyfriend MJ posted the images of their prom looks to social media.

The dress was just a fitted dress at first, but Nazmayde transformed it by adding some some flowers to the bottom of it to make it a mermaid-style dress, making it look way more formal.

MJ has a popular Instagram account where he is known to post photos of himself mimicking looks of various celebrities.

“My dream is to be an actor and social media comedian. I’ve never really thought about being a fashion designer,” MJ explained.

Though MJ helped Nazmayde pick out her dress, the changes she made to it were all her idea. As soon as he posted the photos to Instagram, his inbox started blowing up!

“Ok since ppl inboxing me asking where she gets her dress from …. I found it on @fashionnova for her and she had the idea to add flowers at the bottom … that’s it? a $50 dress is all flowers was all it took ?we both creative as hell,” MJ wrote.
