Shailee is a little girl who wanted nothing more than to just have a family that she could call her own.

After living with her foster parents and foster brother for years, Shailee knew she had finally found the forever home she craved. Now, a video is going viral showing the moment Shailee’s foster parents told her that they were going to adopt her.

Shailee’s parents went to pick her and her brother up from school right after they learned about the adoption date. The parents pretended that it was just a normal day and that nothing out of the ordinary had happened.

Then the mother started to record and turned to talk to Shailee.

Shailee’s father began by saying that they would be going to court that day “for the adoption.” As soon as Shailee heard this, her eyes lit up as she exclaimed, “Really? You’re lying!”

“Today’s your day,” her mother says, reassuring her that they really are adopting her. Shailee can’t hold back her emotions as she reacts to the news she had wanted to hear her whole life!
