Stan Kipping and his beloved wife Pat were devastated when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, as they could not afford comprehensive treatments for him. As Stan’s medical bills mounted and their retirement fund quickly depleted, the couple found themselves in a desperate financial situation.

As the months went on, Stan and Pat could no longer afford the payments for their $100 monthly car payments on their 1998 Buick Century. With no options left, the Kippings prayed to God for a miracle to save them…

God was clearly watching over them, because he sent them a guardian angel in the form of Jim Ford!

Jim is the repo man who was eventually sent to recover the Kipping’s vehicle. When he politely asked for the keys to their vehicle, Pat handed them over with no hesitation, not putting up a fight like many of the other people Ford deals with. Pat later explained that she had no reason to be upset at the time, because she knew everything was in God’s hands.

“When he took the car I said, ‘God, do whatever, whatever you think is best for us.’ You know, God works in mysterious ways,” she said.

Jim got in the car and started to drive away, but he didn’t get very far before he was overcome with guilt.

“They’re like America’s grandparents,” he later explained. “I saw my grandparents in them. And I made it a block before I pulled over and called the bank. And I asked them if I could pay off the past due amount.”

Jim told the couple that he would pay off the late sum for their vehicle, but he ended up doing a whole lot more than just that. He also changed the oil and started a GoFundMe page to pay off the rest of the loan! Donations poured in from all around the U.S. as Americans everywhere were touched by the Kippings’ story.

When Jim returned to the Kippings’ home a few days later, he handed their keys back to them as Pat burst into tears. He then gave them an envelope containing the leftover money from the GoFundMe page he had set up for them. They could not believe their eyes when they saw the envelope contained over $17,000!

“He was wonderful. I mean, he’s the kindest man I’ve ever met in all my life… There’s good people out there. He’s our guardian angel,” Pat said.
