Christmas is closer than you might think and Hallmark is gearing up for their favorite movie season of the year. Yes, Christmas movies can be cheesy and predictable, but that makes them the perfect movie to sit back and relax.

There’s something very refreshing and comforting about curling up with your friends and family while watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. This year, Hallmark has announced that they will offer up 34 new Christmas movies for the 2018 Christmas season.

Last year they debuted 33 movies, so they’ve really outdone themselves this year. The movies will start on October 27 with the Countdown to Christmas starting on the Hallmark Channel. A whopping 22 movies will play on that channel and the other 12 movies will play on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel beginning on November 4 with their Most Wonderful Movies of Christmas.

There hasn’t been a lot of details revealed about the flicks yet, but we do know that Danica McKellar who starred in “The Wonder Years” and last year’s Hallmark film “Coming Home for Christmas” will be in one of the movies this year too.

Another of Hallmark’s Christmas movies, called “Vet” will star Kellie Martin. The film is described by Hallmark as “an emotional story of heroism and homecoming.” Sounds like a good one for sure!

If you really want to get into the Christmas spirit, in 2016 a woman came up with a Hallmark Christmas Movie Drinking Game. Players must take a drink whenever certain things happen like snowball fighting, ice skating, or the sound of jingle bells.

If you want to take Christmas movies to a whole new level of competition, then you’ll want to join in on the Hallmark channel’s Merry Madness Christmas Bracket. You choose your favorite of several movies and compete with other viewers for a chance at a handful of prizes. The winner takes home $10,000!

If you’re as excited about this year’s upcoming Hallmark Christmas movies as we are, like and share this post. For the ultimate movie experience, try out this homemade popcorn recipe too.
