Deanna Feist and her hubby hadn’t been married long when the couple who called Florida home found out that Hurricane Irma was quickly approaching their home. The hurricane was predicted to cause massive damage and they decided they didn’t want to stick around and try to ride out the hurricane at home.

Weather officials said Hurricane Irma was supposed to be the most devastating hurricane to hit the U.S. since Hurricane Katrina that caused millions of dollars in damages and took the lives of people in its path. The Brandon, Florida, couple headed north not taking any chances.

The couple ended up in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where they had decided to take a little vacation while escaping Hurricane Irma. Their trip to Tennessee had been fairly uneventful while traveling, but when they stopped to have lunch, things quickly went downhill.

As they pulled up to the Old Mill Restaurant, every light in the panel of their car lit up. The airbag light, tire pressure light, engine light, everything was flashing at them. They asked a gentlemen if he could jump their car and get it started and he was happy to help out.

The couple headed in to the restaurant and long-time manager, Mo Tamaddoni, had seen the couple’s predicament outside. He quickly seated them and told them he’d put a rush on their order and get them back on the road so they could get their car fixed in no time.

Their food came quickly and the couple enjoyed a good, home-cooked meal, but when the bill came, they couldn’t believe their eyes. Instead of getting a bill, the couple opened a letter from the kind manager that read:

“You are probably here to escape Hurricane Irma. My brother lives in Tallahassee, Florida. I am saddened to see such devastation in this beautiful state. I hope everything will turn out okay for you guys. Enclosed please accept my gift to you in case you need to buy a battery for your car. Also, I am enclosing a meal ticket so you can come back to eat here. Good luck and thanks for visiting my restaurant.”

Not only had Tamaddoni given them their meal for free, but he’d given them a meal voucher for a future meal and money to help with their car. The couple felt like he was a true God send, and took to social media to share their story. It has been liked and shared nearly 30,000 times.
