Most of us only use lip balm on our lips (go figure!), but it turns out there are actually many other ways you can use this product as well!
Aside from fixing dried out lips, we’ve compiled a few other ways you can use lip balm!
Soothe paper cuts

Paper cuts may be tiny, but they can also be incredibly painful! Next time you get one, all you have to do is grab some lip balm to dab on it. Once you do this, you will instantly feel some relief, as the wax in the balm seals the wound. This prevents air from entering the cut, which will make it much less painful.
Relieve an irritated nose

The skin around your nose is very sensitive, so when you’re wiping your nose frequently due to a cold or allergies, this skin can get very irritated. It turns out you can get relief from this soreness by applying unscented lip balm to the area. Be sure to wash your hands before putting the lip balm on the area!
Moisturize your cuticles

If the skin by your cuticles starts to dry out, lip balm can help in the same way it helps dried lips! If you apply lip balm to your cuticles before you go to bed, you’ll notice a huge improvement the next morning!
Lubricate hinges and tracks

We all have that window, door, or drawer in the house that just won’t budge, most likely because the hinges are not lubricated well enough. To fix this, all you have to do is rub some lip balm on the hinges, and they won’t be sticky anymore!
Remove sticker residue

There’s nothing more annoying than a price tag that leaves gunk behind when you rip it off. Using lip balm is a very easy way to get rid of this residue! Simply apply a layer of balm to the residue and leave it for ten minutes, then use a dry cloth or paper towel to wipe it away.
Stop bug itch

In this case, lip balm works the same way it does a small cut. The balm will stop air from irritating the affected area, which will make the itchiness stop!
Defog eyeglasses

Everyone who wears eyeglasses knows how annoying it is when they get fogged up, which happens often due to extreme warmth or cold. You can easily defog your glasses by applying lip balm all over the lenses then polishing them with a soft cloth.
Shine your shoes

You don’t need to spend a lot of money on an expensive shoe shine! Just apply some lip balm on your shoes and they will be as shiny as can be!
