It turns out that some collectors are willing to pay lots of money to get their hands on bills with a certain combination of serial numbers. CoolSerialNumbers.com has published a list of serial numbers that they will pay big bucks to obtain. The website published a lengthy “want list” which you can download by visiting their site.

Here are some of the things they are looking for in their $1 bills:

-7 in a row of the same number like 29999999
-7 of the same number 99990999
-Super radars like 01111110, 10000001, or 80000008
-Repeaters like 67676767
-Double quads like 11110000
-0 and 9 binaries like 00090000
-1 and 8 binaries like 81188118
-And more!

The site added, “we’re always looking for other cool stuff,” so if you find another cool serial number, you can contact them and ask how much they’d pay! Who would have thought that people would pay thousands of dollars just to get their hands on a specific $1 bill?!
