Cassidy Warner is a ten year-old fourth grader from Scranton, Pennsylvania who has been bullied since she started school. Desperate for the bullying to stop, Cassidy took to social media to share her story and ask for help. She had no idea that this move would pay off this much!

In a video in which she shared messages written on signs, Cassidy explained that she had gone to school officials for help, but the bullying had continued anyway. She said that none of her classmates will go near her, and that when she sits down at a lunch table, the other kids get up and walk away.

Some of her classmates have even spilled milk on her.

“I feel so alone, I feel like I have no one. It hurts,” Cassidy wrote on one sign.

Kids have also tried to fight Cassidy at recess, going so far as hitting her, kicking her, and pulling her hair. They have even threatened her life and told her that she should commit suicide.

Cassidy’s video quickly went viral, as people everywhere were touched by her story. To counteract all of the negativity in Cassidy’s life, the New York Yankees baseball team decided to make a video to let her know that she has their support.

Writing their own messages to Cassidy on signs, the players wrote, “We may be taller than you, but we want you to know that we look up to you.”

They let her know that she can count every member of the team as her friend, and they invited her to come sit with them for lunch sometime! Their main message to her was “You are not alone!” and “We won’t stand for it!”
