Judy Obregon, founder of The Abandoned Ones animal rescue group had been searching for the little white dog for days. She had received messages from people all over telling her about the tiny pup that was roaming their neighborhood, but she’s been unable to find him.

Neighbors in the area had told her of the abuse the little dog had suffered at the hands of the kids in the area. They had thrown food into the road to coerce him into the street in front of cars and had tied a garden hose around his neck. She wanted desperately to find and help him.

So when she received the picture of him laying in a driveway from someone who said he was gone, Judy says her heart was broken. She didn’t get to him in time and felt like she had failed him. She drove to pick him up to give him the burial that he deserved.

When Judy arrived, she was shocked when the pup raised his head to look at her. He was still in the same spot, and seemed scared of her, but was too weak to move anything but his head. She immediately took him into her arms and headed for the vet. She knew if she hadn’t come, he wouldn’t have lasted another day.

Although weak, malnourished, and dehydrated, the little dog wasn’t physically hurt in any other way. He began licking her face in the car as they rode, grateful for the affection and care he was about to receive.

After getting some food and water and a good bath, the white pup that she named Gully quickly began to come around. He was beautiful and playful and lavished attention on those who wanted to love him back.

Luckily, it didn’t take Gully long to find his forever home. He went home with a gentleman who had another little dog that Gully became good friends with. Judy says the last update she received said Gully was happy and living life to the fullest.
