Katie Kelzenberg is a senior at Stillwater Area High School in Oak Park Heights, Minnesota. Dressed in a throwback outfit from some 20 years ago, Katie dressed up as her favorite actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and asked him to her senior prom. She wasn’t expecting a response at all.

Johnson is notorious for reaching out to his fans over the years through the good times and the bad. Word about Katie’s prom request not only caught his attention, but he decided he just had to do something for his super fan.

Just a few days after Katie made her plea on Twitter, as she was sitting in her morning class, a familiar voice came over the intercom to make the morning announcements. As you can see on Katie’s face in the video below, at first she’s not certain, but then he introduces himself and calls her by name.

Johnson took to the intercom to let Katie know that, unfortunately, he couldn’t make it to her prom because he would be filming his newest movie in Hawaii at that time, but he had something extraordinary for her instead.

He had rented an entire movie theater just for Katie, her friends, and family and was treating them to a special viewing of his latest film “Rampage.” All the popcorn, candy, and soda they wanted was even on the house. He had reserved 232 seats just for Katie.

Katie couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Johnson even challenged one of the boys at the school to step up to the plate and make Katie’s prom the night of her life, or, if she’d rather, he said she could just go with her girlfriends.

Johnson went even further and made a post on his Facebook page saying how proud he was of Katie for having the courage to ask him to prom and showed the sign he made in his gym as a tribute to Katie. He said she was his best friend now and he loved her for being an amazing friend.

Seems like Katie isn’t the only one that’s awesome here. Not many Hollywood stars would go out of their way to do something like this for a fan. If you think Johnson’s actions were as amazing as we do, please like and share this story.
